It is always good to learn a new language so I took advantage of the holiday season to look more closely at TypeScript. If you could not to change the path of those packed files or your publish/deploy destination is not local path, I think you method should be a better way. Visual Studio, TypeScript, WebPack and ASP.NET Core: somewhat awkward. If you can set path of those packed files to another folder, for example, “temporary” folder, and your publish/deploy destination is local path, you can add a copy task in to the Visual Studio project to copy those source code, node_modules, etc to the “dist”
